This is a red, whimsical butterfly embroidery project. For this one, I edged around the butterfly and her different sections, then raided my stash for a bunch of varying colors of red.

I don't remember a time that I didn't want to color, pry jewels out of my mom's brooches, or make potholders with loops on a frame. Now, I love to paint with beads, bend a little wire, and use a beading needle to make "lace" in the air. It's my meditation and passion.
Dedicated to the memory of my dad, Paul, who left the Earth in 1992. He thought every little thing I did was magic. And, to my Granny, Eva-who was an expert smocker, fabulous hand and machine sewer and quilter, and unparalleled country cook.
